Cyber Systems Administrator Mid-Senior Level | Kirtland AFB, NM | $100,000 - $125,000 | Active Secret Clearance Required Support mission-critical distributed operations-securing and maintaining systems that power Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) training, simulation environments, and Battlespace infrastructure for Distributed Mission Operations (DMO). A Day in the Life - What you'll do * Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows systems, servers, and mission applications. * Manage system accounts, permissions, directory services, and policies within Active Directory environments. * Perform system monitoring, log analysis, resource management, and performance optimization to ensure system reliability. * Support and maintain virtualized environments including VMware ESXi, storage provisioning, and virtual networking. * Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to restore system functionality. * Support system integration and testing activities in collaboration with engineering and simulation teams. * Maintain system documentation including configuration baselines, technical procedures, and operational artifacts. * Support system operations during mission exercises, integration events, and testing windows. * Collaborate with network engineers, software developers, mission operators, and cybersecurity teams to support mission objectives. * Present system status, findings, and technical issues to stakeholders and leadership as required. * Ensure system availability, reliability, and readiness to support mission execution. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field or 5-7 years of related experience in lieu of a degree * Ability to obtain an active DoD Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Special Access Programs (SAP) and SCI * Experience administering and securing Windows and Linux systems in compliance with NIST SP 800-53 / RMF frameworks * DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification required * Experience maintaining cybersecurity documentation, system artifacts, and audit evidence * Experience identifying system vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies * Familiarity with system requirements development, validation, and verification processes * Experience supporting DoD systems, platforms, or mission environments * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate independently Preferred Qualifications * Active DoD Top Secret clearance * Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware ESXi, storage provisioning, and virtual networking * Experience in hardware testing, reverse engineering, or embedded system environments * Experience operating in cross-domain or multi-network environments * Experience supporting government agencies or large-scale defense programs * Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information effectively Who is Caribou Thunder?
