We are seeking a Cybersecurity Program Manager to lead and continuously strengthen our organization's cybersecurity program, ensuring the security and resilience of our systems, operations, and community services.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing and continuously improving AP&T's cybersecurity program. This role oversees daily security operations, risk management, incident response readiness, and promotes a strong security culture across the organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Manage and enhance cybersecurity policies, controls, and program documentation. - Monitor and respond to security events, maintaining secure systems and tools. - Lead vulnerability management, patching, and remediation efforts. - Oversee identity and access management, including MFA and privileged accounts. - Maintain incident response plans and coordinate recovery readiness. - Support risk management, compliance, vendor security reviews, and audits. - Collaborate across IT, telecom, and operational systems to ensure infrastructure security. - Promote employee security awareness and training initiatives.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. - Relevant cybersecurity certification (or ability to obtain within 6–12 months). - 5+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in cybersecurity roles. - Experience with security operations, risk management, incident response, and compliance frameworks. - Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.
Preferred Experience: - Background in utilities, telecommunications, or critical infrastructure environments. - Experience with Microsoft security tools, network security systems, and monitoring platforms. - Familiarity with IT/OT systems, vendor risk management, and security audits.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires maintaining mental alertness and the ability to perform primarily sedentary work, with extended periods of sitting and frequent use of a computer, phone, and standard office equipment. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 pounds) may be required. Clear vision (close, distance, and peripheral) and effective communication abilities are essential. Additional Information: This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage sensitive information, and occasional travel. The position is primarily sedentary with standard physical requirements.
The pay range for this position is: $109,000.00-$125,000.00 and is DOE.
