    Position Summary

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Project Manager to guide cross-functional security initiatives from planning through implementation. This role combines practical project leadership with a working understanding of cybersecurity, risk, compliance, and enterprise technology delivery.
The successful candidate will manage full project lifecycles using Agile, Waterfall, or iterative methods; coordinate technical and business stakeholders; maintain delivery and financial controls; and ensure security objectives are completed on time and within budget. This hybrid role requires local candidates who can work onsite in Columbus on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan and manage cybersecurity projects across initiation, design, execution, testing, deployment, adoption, and closeout.
    • Create and maintain project charters, plans, schedules, solution design documents, technical documentation, Agile readiness checklists, UAT approvals, and deployment plans.
    • Coordinate security, IT, business, vendor, finance, and executive stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels.
    • Manage risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, demand, capacity, status reporting, budgets, forecasts, accruals, and variance explanations.
    • Support statement-of-work development and track vendor commitments, milestones, deliverables, and progress.
    • Facilitate clear project presentations and translate technical security concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Develop stakeholder assessments, communication plans, adoption strategies, and other change-management artifacts.
    • Apply Agile, Waterfall, iterative, SDLC, and project-management best practices using ServiceNow, Power BI, Jira, and related tools.
    • Build effective relationships with executive sponsors and key stakeholders while promoting accountability and teamwork.
    • Contribute to policy and standards management, compliance and risk assessments, and issue or exception tracking when needed.

    Required Qualifications

    • 3+ years of project-management experience across IT and business functions.
    • Experience managing complex projects with internal and external resources and both labor and non-labor cost components.
    • Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, iterative, and SDLC delivery methods and project-management best practices.
    • Experience with project cost management, resource-capacity planning, budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance explanations.
    • Strong business-process analysis and process-mapping skills.
    • Experience implementing change-management approaches that support project adoption.
    • Ability to lead indirectly, coordinate diverse teams, and develop relationships with executive sponsors and key stakeholders.
    • Strong presentation, facilitation, organization, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical project-management experience.
    • Ability to work onsite in Columbus Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
    • Agile certification such as Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).
    • ITIL v3 or v4 certification or practical service-management experience.
    • Experience delivering cybersecurity, governance, risk, compliance, policy, or standards-management initiatives.
    • Hands-on familiarity with ServiceNow, Power BI, Jira, or Archer.
    • Energy or utilities industry experience.
