Cybersecurity Sr. Specialist - St. Paul, MN
Location                         : St. Paul, MN
Project Duration          : 6+ Months of contract
Pay Rate                         : $60/hr on W2
 
Required Experience
·         Proven senior advisory or consulting background, with direct engagement in product security decision-making.
·         Ability to establish credibility quickly with engineering and architecture teams, especially in whiteboarding or design sessions.
·         Demonstrated experience providing real-world examples of solving security challenges in production environments.
·         Strong working knowledge of application security principles, with sufficient coding familiarity to guide developers (deep engineering expertise not mandatory).
Acceptable Role Backgrounds
·         Security Advisor / Security Consultant
·         Application Security Architect
·         Business Information Security Officer (BISO)
·         Cybersecurity Architect (product-focused)
Preferred Experience
·         Exposure to medical device environments or other highly regulated industries.
·         Understanding of global regulatory frameworks impacting healthcare or large-scale consumer technologies.
·         Experience working on products with large-scale user impact
Interview Expectations
·         Candidates must demonstrate authentic, experience-based knowledge (no reliance on AI-generated responses).
·         Strong emphasis on behavioral and situational responses grounded in real work.
·         Openness about knowledge gaps is valued over overgeneralization.
Flexibility
·         Tooling experience is flexible and dependent on product environments.
·         Certifications are optional; depth of experience is prioritized.
·         AI knowledge is not required, but independent thinking is critical
