Cybersecurity Technology Architect IV

Pay Rate: $80 - $110 per hour

Summary:

• Duration: 6 Months
• Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite: Tues, Wed, Thurs; 2 days work from home)
• Location: Concord, CA
• Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily cybersecurity activity to determine if activity is malignant or benign and engage others as required.
• Provide analysis on malware and escalate as appropriate to incident response teams.
• Conduct baseline threat hunting based on intelligence from utility peers and other intelligence sources.
• Provide hunting/analysis on phishing cases and reports of potential compromise/breach.
• Perform proficient forensic analysis using security tools and monitoring systems to identify the source of anomalous security events.
• Assist in performing basic research internally and externally.
• Perform complex system administration tasks (e.g., customization, cross-tool integration) for security tools.
• Develop a strategy to implement work in the department.

Requirements:

• High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma.

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• IT-Information Technology Security certification.
