Cycle Counter - day shift

Meador an Openwork Company is currently seeking a dependable Cycle Counter to join a growing safety equipment supplier in Houston, TX. This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and teamwork. 
 

Qualifications: 

• Experience with Cycle Counting and Inventory 

• Experience with Product knowledge with Flanges, Fittings and Pipe a plus 

• Experience operating sit-down forklift, reach truck and order picker preferred 

• Moderate computer skills (data entry using a laptop) required 

• Basic typing (drafting and responding to emails, paperwork organization 

• Ability to multitask. 

• Strong attention to detail – research inventory discrepancies and reconcile inventory. 

• Moderate math and analytical skills 

• Good communication skills (with co-workers, supervisor and within other departments) 

• Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player 

• Self-starter and ability to work independently and in a team environment 

• Available to work overtime if necessary, including Saturdays. 

• Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test 

Responsibilities: 

• Cycle count materials on a daily basis or as scheduled 

• Review on-hand inventory, current activity, and past activity 

• Ensure materials are in proper locations. 

• Breakdown boxes and pallets as necessary 

• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed. 

• Wear the proper safety equipment at all times. 

• Maintain neat, clean and orderly warehouse appearance. 

• Operate a standup forklift, reach truck and other warehouse equipment. 

Physical demands and abilities: 

• Experience on Sit-Down Forklift, Stand-up Reach Truck or Picker preferred. 

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. 

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb and move about the facility. 

• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. 

• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. 

Location: Houston, TX

Schedule: Day shift - 8am-5pm

Pay: $17-$18/hour
