Job Title: Cycle Counter
Location: Reading, PA 19605
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (2–3 Month Contract Assignment)
Overview of the Job
The Cycle Counter helps manage and maintain accurate inventory levels by performing physical counts of products across warehouse and production areas and comparing results against inventory logs and ERP system records. Utilizing A, B, and C inventory valuation formulas, this role conducts location audits, investigates inventory discrepancies, supports count variance reconciliations, and operates material handling equipment (such as picker machines and carousels) in accordance with corporate inventory control procedures.

Primary Responsibilities
• Perform physical inventory counts across warehouse and manufacturing floors with high accuracy using A, B, and C inventory value class formulas.
• Conduct location audits to verify that physical inventory aligns with designated ERP storage locations.
• Support the reconciliation of count variances between perpetual system records and actual physical counts.
• Research inventory discrepancies, track uncommon products, and assist in developing corrective solutions.
• Adhere strictly to corporate Cycle Count Program Procedures and inventory policies.
• Prepare reports summarizing cycle counting results, location audit findings, and inventory metrics.
• Safely operate material handling equipment, including picker machines and automated storage carousels.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Mathematical & Analytical Skills: High level of mathematical ability, numeric aptitude, and problem-solving skills required.
• Equipment & Systems Operation: Ability to operate picker machines and carousels; proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel).
• Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with occasional sitting, reaching, and bending.
Manual dexterity to handle, feel, and inspect items throughout the shift.
• Strong data entry skills with excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Understanding of basic inventory control procedures and warehouse workflows.
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in cycle counting, inventory control, or manufacturing plant operations required.
