Join American Roller Company in Rock Hill as a Cylindrical Roll Grinding Machinist (Grade III)

Now we’re hiring a skilled Grade III professional to help us finish rollers to exacting standards on 1st shift.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and run manual lathes and cylindrical grinders to meet production specifications.
• Perform consistent, high-precision rubber grinding on industrial rollers.
• Verify dimensions using pi tapes and tape measures; maintain tight tolerances.
• Document inspection results through basic computer data entry.
• Operate overhead cranes and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Keep your area clean, organized, and aligned with 5S and safety practices.
• Follow company policies and all safety procedures at all times.

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience operating a manual lathe (required).
• Rubber grinding experience (strongly preferred).
• Skill using a pi tape and tape measure with accuracy.
• Comfort with basic computer entry for inspection reports.
• Experience using overhead cranes.
• Mechanical aptitude, keen attention to detail, and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to work well independently and collaborate within a team.

Schedule, Pay, and Type

• Job Type: Full-time
• Schedule: 4-day workweek, Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. (1st shift)
• Pay: $27.00–$29.00 per hour
