A leading healthcare organization in Tennessee is seeking an experienced Cytogenetics Director to provide leadership and oversight for its cytogenetics laboratory operations.

Position Highlights

• Full-time leadership opportunity
• Lead and oversee daily operations within the Cytogenetics laboratory
• Provide technical and operational leadership to laboratory staff
• Oversee cytogenetic testing, workflows, and laboratory processes
• Ensure accurate, high-quality, and timely patient results
• Establish and maintain laboratory procedures, protocols, and quality standards
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control activities
• Ensure compliance with applicable laboratory regulations and accreditation standards
• Evaluate laboratory processes and identify opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory leadership, and other healthcare professionals
• Mentor and support laboratory staff while fostering a collaborative team environment

What We're Looking For

• Strong Cytogenetics laboratory experience required
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience in a clinical laboratory setting
• Strong knowledge of cytogenetic testing methodologies, instrumentation, and laboratory operations
• Experience with laboratory quality management and regulatory requirements
• Strong understanding of cytogenetics workflows and clinical laboratory standards
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment
• Strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and patient care
