We are seeking a Mid-Level Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a technical team building next-generation document services that leverage Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies.

This position will help design and develop modern applications that provide intelligent document transformation capabilities across the enterprise. The role combines front-end development with scalable backend engineering, including intelligent document ingestion, extraction, transformation, and AI-driven workflows.

The engineer will build modern, responsive user experiences such as interactive dashboards, document upload and review interfaces, and real-time processing status views. These applications will be supported by scalable backend services and well-designed RESTful APIs.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional software development experience and familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP), agentic AI tools, and AI-driven orchestration patterns. The role will contribute to systems where AI agents and traditional services coordinate multi-step document-processing workflows, from document intake through structured data extraction and downstream delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, deploy, and document enterprise software components.

• Build modern, accessible, and responsive user interfaces using React or Vue.js.

• Develop reusable front-end components, state-management solutions, dashboards, and API integrations.

• Design and implement reliable and scalable backend services using Java and Python.

• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Contribute to intelligent document-processing solutions incorporating OCR, LLMs, and AI/ML capabilities.

• Review and analyze process, system, and data requirements and specifications.

• Participate in software design and engineering discussions and help identify and mitigate technical risks.

• Participate in peer reviews of code, requirements, specifications, and technical solutions.

• Develop unit and integration tests to support software quality and reliability.

• Troubleshoot defects and contribute to production issue resolution.

• Participate in production releases and application support activities.

• Contribute to process improvements and engineering best practices.

• Follow established security, development, and technology standards.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including story refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and code reviews.

Required Technical Skills

Software Development

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Java and Spring Boot.

• Python and FastAPI.

• JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end development.

• React or Vue.js strongly preferred.

• RESTful API design and development.

• Microservices architecture.

• Unit and integration testing.

• SQL and relational databases, including PostgreSQL.

• Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.

AWS / Cloud

• Hands-on AWS experience.

• EC2.

• S3.

• Lambda.

• RDS.

• API Gateway.

• CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and X-Ray.

• IAM, security services, and VPC networking.

• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.

• Experience with cloud-based dashboards and visualization tools is beneficial.

Agentic AI & MCP

• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and its use in connecting AI models with external tools, services, and data sources.

• Experience building or integrating tool-use frameworks that enable AI agents to invoke APIs, query databases, interact with files, and orchestrate downstream services.

• Understanding of agentic workflows and AI-driven orchestration patterns.

• Familiarity with prompt engineering and context management for production LLM applications.

• Understanding of token usage and optimization for LLM workloads.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OCR technologies such as AWS Textract, Tesseract, or comparable platforms.

• Experience with LLM and agent frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Amazon Bedrock Agents.

• Experience with vector databases.

• Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.

• Experience with message queues and event-driven architectures.

• Docker and/or Kubernetes.

• NoSQL database experience.

• AWS certification.

• Experience developing applications involving text analytics, enterprise search, document intelligence, profiles, alerts, or similar data-intensive capabilities.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on software engineer who can work across the application stack while contributing to emerging AI capabilities. They should be comfortable developing modern user interfaces, building Java and Python backend services, working within AWS, and integrating applications with OCR and LLM technologies.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently while collaborating closely with engineers and other stakeholders, participate actively in Agile development practices, and help turn emerging AI and agentic technologies into reliable enterprise software.
