Storeroom Clerk / Inventory Assistant

• Schedule: Day Shift | 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

• Pay Rate: $25.00 / hr USD

Position Summary: A leading North American manufacturer of building materials and roofing solutions is hiring a Storeroom Clerk.

The Storeroom Clerk maintains organized inventory across plant operations and maintenance. This role handles receiving deliveries, organizing stock, running cycle counts, operating forklifts, and tracking inventory in the Maximo system to support continuous plant efficiency.

• Inventory & Cycle Counts: Perform regular cycle counts, track parts/tools, and log inventory movements in the Maximo database.

• Receiving & Stocking: Receive deliveries, unload materials, and organize stock in designated warehouse locations.

• Kitting & Issuing: Pick and stage parts/materials required for daily maintenance work orders and plant operations.

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate a forklift to move, load, and store materials.

• Warehouse Maintenance: Keep storerooms and stock areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

• Cross-Functional Support: Coordinate directly with maintenance and plant teams to ensure required parts are accessible.

Basic Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Certifications: Active Forklift Certification.

• Systems: Computer proficiency for inventory data entry (experience with Maximo or an enterprise ERP/WMS is preferred).

• Skills: Strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

PPE & Dress Code Requirements:

• Must provide and wear own steel-toed boots.

• Must wear long pants and a long-sleeve shirt (minimum 35% cotton blend).

• Must wear site-provided hard hat and safety glasses at all times.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to operate a forklift, climb stairs/ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and stand/walk for extended periods.
