    Position Description

    A daily substitute is responsible for the management and instruction of a classroom in the absence of their regular teacher. This includes but is not limited to:

    • following and delivering provided lesson plans • managing classroom behaviors • supervision of students • assignment of classwork and homework

    The substitute may act as a teacher or an aide depending on the needs of the school.

    The daily rate for substitute teachers is as follows:

    • 120 per day (less than 11 consecutive days) • 130 per day (11-39 consecutive days)
