Daily Substitute Teacher (Grades 4K-5) for 2026-2027 School Year

Freedom Area School District is looking for teachers who are interested in a regular, guaranteed sub position at the Elementaru School for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking to hire one Elementary position. Applicants must possess a valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction teaching OR substitute license. A three-year short-term substitute license may be issued to anyone with an associate''s or bachelor''s degree through the Department of Public Instruction.

The daily sub rate is $130. There is a stipend paid following each quarter for teacher substitutes based on the number of days worked. If you work 11-20 days in a quarter you will receive $10 additional for each of those days, if you work between 21-45 days you will receive $15 additional for each of those days. For example, if you worked 22 days in a quarter you would get $10 x 10 days plus $15 x2 days which equals $130 additional. All substitutes will also get FREE LUNCH from the cafeteria. This is not applicable to long-term substitutes as we pay at a higher rate after 10 days.
