Deli Dairy Frozen Clerk - New Store Opening - Torrance

The Deli Dairy Frozen Clerk is responsible for ensuring all store deli cases remain stocked and clean during business hours. In addition, the DDF Clerk assists customers and co-workers as instructed by supervisors. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines set by the Grocery Department.

Key Responsibility

• Works safely at all times and follows all established safety guidelines and procedures.
• Stocking and maintenance of deli cases; to ensure adequate presentation of product, good selection/variety, and correct pricing and product dating to maintain appropriate rotation of deli goods.
• Ensures prompt assistance is provided to customers and that staff is offering advice on selection, and storage of deli products.
• Cleaning of deli cases; to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all deli cases and storage coolers.
• Assists Dept. Manager - Grocery with receiving, and stocking, rotation of product and inventory of department as requested.
• Monitors and maintains deli department merchandising displays and signage.
• Monitors and maintains cleanliness and organization of deli department.
• Walks deli department regularly to ensure an organized and clean appearance at all times.
• Must follow all sanitation guidelines.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
• Performs other duties as requested or required by management.

Physical Requirements

• Able to work prolonged periods of time in an environment with fluctuating temperature ranges
• Able to stand prolonged periods of time
• Able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends & holidays
