Dairy Pasteurizer | Pasteurizer Operator | Dairy Production Operator

Location: Bellevue, WA 98005
 Openings: 2
 Assignment: 90-Day Temp to Hire (Union position upon permanent hire)

Pay Rate:

  • Up to $34.00/hour with a Pasteurizer's License
  • Up to $30.00/hour without a Pasteurizer's License

 

Available Shifts

Swing Shift

  • Monday through Friday
  • 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

Graveyard Shift

  • Sunday through Thursday
  • 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
  • Overtime required as business needs dictate.

 

Position Overview

Join a leading dairy manufacturing team where you'll play a critical role in producing high-quality dairy products while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and operational excellence. Responsibilities

  • Monitor dairy production processes and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for batching and processing products.
  • Operate pasteurization and dairy processing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor fats, total solids, allergens, and other critical processing parameters.
  • Analyze process and equipment performance data to troubleshoot issues and improve production efficiency.
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment through Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems and manual cleaning procedures.
  • Operate and clean equipment to maximize production while minimizing downtime.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation in compliance with company policies and federal and state regulations.
  • Communicate production concerns, equipment issues, and quality matters to management and other departments.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and sanitation procedures.
  • Support food safety, quality assurance, and prerequisite programs.
  • Immediately report food safety or quality concerns to management.
  • Maintain organized work areas using 5S standards.
  • Promote a safe work environment by following all workplace safety policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous dairy processing or pasteurization experience required.
  • Candidates with a Pasteurizer's License must have at least 6 to 12 months of pasteurization or dairy processing equipment experience.
  • Candidates without a Pasteurizer's License must have at least 12 months of pasteurization or dairy processing equipment experience.
  • Previous experience operating pallet jacks and forklifts is required.
  • Basic understanding of food safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Ability to accurately follow recipes, measurements, and production instructions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing production priorities.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for the majority of each shift.
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Perform repetitive bending, reaching, lifting, and equipment operation throughout the shift.
  • Work safely in a manufacturing environment while following all safety protocols.

 

Training & Safety Requirements

  • Completion of Alchemy Safety Training.
  • Safety shoes are required on Day One.
