Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Finishing Laborers for a metal fabrication company in Dalton, MN. In this role, you’ll help prepare and finish structural metal components while working with a skilled team in a hands-on manufacturing environment. What You’ll Do as a Finishing Laborer:- Assemble and repair metal components using bolts, rivets, and hand tools
- Operate power tools such as grinders, drills, and saws to shape and finish products
- Prepare metal surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and sandblasting
- Apply paint, masking, and touch-ups to finished metal products
- Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment
- Inspect finished products, including welds and coatings, to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain equipment and keep work areas clean and organized
What You Need to Bring to the Finishing Laborer Role:- Ability to stand for a full shift and perform physical labor in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 90 lbs occasionally
- Basic math skills, including measuring and working with fractions
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings in English
- Previous manufacturing or fabrication experience OR 2 years of technical training preferred
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate tools and material handling equipment
- Ability to pass a color and near vision acuity exam
