The following frequencies and percentage of time spent are approximations only and are subject to flexibility dependent on organizational needs.Interpret consecutively or simultaneously for parents during, but not limited, to parent/teacher conferences, IEP meetings, expulsion hearings and student disciplinary hearings, admissions process, and at school and district meetings as needed. [Daily, 30%]Provide information about school and community resources & services to families. [Daily, 25%]Facilitate communication and understanding between families, school, and community while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. [Daily, 15%]Act as a cultural link between parents, students, school, staff, and community and work with staff to facilitate social and cultural adjustment in school. [Daily, 15%]Collaborate and coordinate resources with school parent liaisons, other parent partnership groups in the schools, district, and in the community to assist [language] families and students. [Daily, 10%]Translate documents for distribution including handbooks; guides; legal notices; forms; policies and regulations; discipline and internet use documents; relevant applications, etc. Utilize a variety of tools including software, dictionaries, publications, Web-based research, etc. [Daily, 5%]MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThe minimum amounts of formal education, professional work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities that must be met for a candidate to be considered for a position.Interpreter Certification or Bachelor's degree in [language] or related field preferred.
