Key Responsibilities
Support Radio Frequency (RF) saturation and reception coverage testing to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct testing and validation of individual Distributed Antenna System (DAS) devices, from the main head-end to the Remote Repeating Unit, to confirm functionality.
Verify that radio frequency coverage meets the compliance requirements set by the United States Capitol Police (USCP).
Facilitate faulty equipment exchanges and ensure installed hardware is properly aligned with location-based signal levels.
Validate the availability and functionality of emergency power hardware to support outages or system faults.
Maintain the network management system for DAS devices, including the associated network management software, to ensure continuous operational efficiency.
Accurately document and maintain records for all DAS device locations, nomenclature, maintenance hours in service, and RF signal levels per device. Track and report:
Performance impacts on DAS devices in construction zones.
The number of DAS devices serviced over 30-, 60-, and 90-day periods.
The overall health and readiness of the DAS for ad-hoc special event incident briefings.
Inventory of DAS devices, parts, and associated components for annual audit review.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in DAS system maintenance and radio equipment support.
Technical certification in DAS or radio systems (e.g., BICSI, DAS certifications).
Strong troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience in DAS and related technology.
Ability to work independently and manage technical issues under pressure.
