Data & AI Governance Leader, MD position is responsible to define and maintain enterprise Data, AI policies, standards, and governance operating model and serve a key point person for regulatory, audit, and supervisory engagement.
What you will be responsible for
Enterprise Data, AI & Agentic AI Governance
Define, maintain, and evolve enterprise-wide policies, standards, and control frameworks for:
Data governance and data management
Responsible AI and AI risk classification
Ensure governance applies across the full lifecycle of data and AI assets, from design through retirement.
Strategic Governance Target State (LOB Partnership)
Data Quality & Data Incident Management
Regulatory Leadership & Proactive Engagement
Education and Preferred Qualifications
Required
12+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, AI Governance, Technology Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs, or related disciplines.
Significant experience operating within highly regulated financial services organizations.
Demonstrated experience working directly with regulators and supervisory bodies, including FRB, ECB, OCC, PRA, MAS, FCA, or equivalent agencies.
Deep understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Risk Management, Data Lineage, Metadata Management, and AI Governance frameworks.
Experience supporting regulatory examinations, audits, remediation programs, and enterprise risk initiatives.
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders across business and technology functions.
Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
Preferred
Experience with BCBS 239, enterprise data management regulations, model risk management, and Responsible AI frameworks.
Familiarity with NIST AI RMF, emerging AI regulations, and global supervisory expectations for AI governance.
Knowledge of governance platforms and technologies such as Collibra, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, Alation, or similar solutions.
Advanced degree in Business, Technology, Data Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
Salary Range:
$170,000 - $282,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
