Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Public Health, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a healthcare or quality improvement setting.
Experience with Excel and PowerPoint, and experienced with at least one visualization platform such as Tableau or Power BI
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a surgical specialty or hospital quality/performance improvement department.
Familiarity with SQL or similar querying tools is a plus.
Data Management & Analysis
Extract, clean, and validate clinical and administrative data from internal databases and member-submitted datasets.
Perform quantitative and statistical analyses on surgical outcomes and quality metrics.
Develop and maintain data dashboards and reporting tools to support QI program operations.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy through routine audits and quality checks.
Reporting & Visualization
Design and produce periodic performance reports, scorecards, and trend analyses for internal leadership and accredited facilities and surgeons.
Create interactive visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise presentations for non-technical audiences.
Quality Improvement Support
Collaborate with QI staff, facility inspectors, and program managers to identify data needs and analytical priorities.
Assist in the preparation of facility inspection reports, annual review presentations, and custom data reports.
Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with IT to ensure consistent data definitions, custom data element creation, and reporting standards.
Respond to data requests in a timely and accurate manner.
Collaborate with Business Development and Marcomm to provide value reports related to marketing and footprint expansion initiatives.
