RICHARD (RDS) is seeking a driven and analytical Data Analyst to join our growing data team.

Position Summary

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of data, technology, and business operations, helping transform complex information into actionable insights that support decision-making across the organization.

In this role, you will partner with teams throughout the company to analyze ERP and operational data, develop meaningful reports and dashboards, and support internal applications that drive daily business processes. You will gain exposure to a wide range of systems, projects, and stakeholders while building expertise in data analytics, business intelligence, and process improvement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with the management of the Viewpoint Spectrum platform, including user setup and access, overall system health, Traqspera employee kiosk support, and other related functions.
  • Write and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views in the Viewpoint Spectrum ERP database to support business reporting and analytical needs.
  • Build and maintain reports in Viewpoint Spectrum utilizing Crystal Reports.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for all business units as well as external clients.
  • Develop and support Excel-based tools, including VBA macros, pivot tables, and automated workbooks.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of internal C# / .NET applications that interface with Viewpoint Spectrum data as well as APIs for external platforms.
  • Leverage Python for data transformation, automation, and batch processing tasks.
  • Manage automated reports and API ETL processing.
  • Collaborate with internal business groups and external clients to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
  • Document processes, data definitions, and technical specifications to support team knowledge management.
  • Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and iterative improvements to existing tools and workflows.
  • Manage work requests through the ConnectWise ticketing system.
  • Utilize AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate development, documentation, and analysis work.
  • Assist as needed with IT initiatives involving company priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Business Analytics or related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a data analyst or similar technical role.
  • Strong T-SQL skills including complex joins, subqueries, performance awareness, and stored procedures.
  • Working experience with Crystal Reports, SSRS, or similar reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated Power BI experience: data modeling, DAX measures, dashboard design and publication.
  • Excel/VBA proficiency: User Forms, event-driven macros, and workbook automation.
  • Working experience with C#/.NET or Python in a professional or project setting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Viewpoint Spectrum, Sage, Procore, or similar construction ERP a plus).
  • Experience using AI coding assistants or AI-powered tools in day-to-day work.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential company information with discretion and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum ERP or other construction/project management ERP platforms.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services (SQL Database, etc.).
  • Experience maintaining or contributing to a shared code repository (e.g., GitHub).
  • Background in construction, architecture, or engineering industry data environments.
