The Role:
Free Market Health is seeking a Data Analyst to deliver high-value data and analytics solutions for both internal and external business partners. We are looking for a curious problem solver who enjoys working with complex data and helping solve business challenges in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
In this role, you will analyze healthcare data, create meaningful insights, develop visualizations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to support business and analytical needs.
- Develop an understanding of the business, customers, and healthcare landscape to drive analytical value.
- Apply analytical techniques to solve business problems and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Analyze claims, authorization, and other healthcare data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues.
- Prepare analyses and presentations related to operational, clinical, and financial program performance.
- Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations that communicate key insights to business stakeholders.
- Support data quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the analytics function.
- Collaborate with data and engineering teams to define requirements and support analytics use cases.
- Manage multiple priorities while contributing to a variety of analytical projects.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an analytical role.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write efficient queries and analyze data.
- Experience with Tableau or a similar business intelligence/data visualization platform.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to haves:
- Experience in healthcare analytics.
- Experience working with healthcare datasets such as claims, eligibility, authorization, or related data.
- Experience in specialty pharmacy or a related healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated experience supporting data-driven business decisions and delivering analytical solutions.
