The Opportunity:

CACI is looking for a Data Analyst to play a critical role in a high-visibility transformation initiative with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).  In this position, you will help modernize the way the DOE delivers procurement and inventory support across the country—shaping smarter, faster, and more agile operations in service of national energy programs.

Your work will directly impact decision-makers at the highest levels and empower field teams to execute their missions more efficiently and effectively.

This is more than a technical role—it's an opportunity to drive change and build tools that will influence the future of how the federal government approaches procurement and program execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, transform, and prepare procurement and inventory data for analysis, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of datasets.
  • Conduct statistical and predictive analyses to uncover insights and identify opportunities for improved operational performance.
  • Design intuitive dashboards, reports, and data models that enable leadership to make fast, informed decisions.
  • Identify patterns and trends in complex data sets and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Build tools and systems that support long-term efficiency, standardization, and program effectiveness.
  • Help implement data-driven approaches that reduce procurement lead times and increase field-level autonomy

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active DOE Q clearance (preferred), or an active DoD Top Secret clearance with a favorable background investigation completed within the past five (5) years.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of hands-on experience in data analytics.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables, data cleansing, data extraction, and the Data Analysis Toolpak.
  • Expertise in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization platforms.
  • Proven ability to build dashboards using large datasets and multiple parameters to support high-stakes decisions.
  • Demonstrated success creating performance reporting tools by synthesizing data from multiple sources into impactful, executive-ready work products.
  • A sharp eye for detail—you notice the things others miss.

Desired:

  • A strong working knowledge of AWS platforms.
  • A degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
  • Experience with federal procurement, contracting, or inventory management, especially in mission-critical environments.
  • Skill in simplifying complex data insights for executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Expertise in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization platforms.
  • Familiarity with SQL, DAX, Python, R, or JSON for deeper analysis or model development.
  • A passion for designing data-driven tools that empower smarter decision-making across the enterprise.
