Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Analyst (FGP) - Radiology.

In this role, the successful candidate supports department-wide data collection, analysis, distribution,governance, and strategic data initiatives. This position reports to the Manager of Data Analytics; and is responsible fordatabase, dashboard, analytic, and data reporting support as well as conducting projects affiliated with all missions. Therole involves developing and managing databases, designing and managing data collection methods, statistical dataanalysis, creating reports, and data visualization to present to departmental leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

• Extracts data from the medical centers data warehouse via Azure Databricks
• Creates/maintains complex SQL codes and stored procedures that feed and refresh the data models
• Conducts analysis by compiling data, managing data bases, analyzing data and presenting results in numerical and graphic formats
• Assists department leadership in conducting process analysis, problem identification and root cause analysis, organization and environmental analysis and formulating recommendations for improvement
• Assists in coordinating and facilitating communication within the department to ensure consistent analytical approaches
• Assists in sharing of knowledge, best practices, and analytical approaches
• Plays an active role in providing data for operational improvements
• Visualizes analytic insights and create dashboards with the use of Tableau for end stakeholders to use in decision-making and monitoring of performance.
• Manages and improves existing databases; develops programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data
• Works with clinical, administrative and operational data, and be responsible for analyzing and presenting data; performing data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing requests
• Researches new data sources and analytical tools/methodologies; contributes to new product development and improvement in product delivery and presentation
• Assists leadership in developing Department of Radiology
• Provides subject matter expertise in the area of data analytics
• Supports department adherence to NYU Langone Health data related policies & procedures
• Serves as a liaison between the department and greater data science community both within NYU and at-large
• Stays up to date with data science technologies and/or best practices
• Performs additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Public Health, Computer or Systems Engineering or related field that further developed your expertise in the business of health and healthcare, required.
• 1-2 years of experience in writing complex SQL, including complex joins, subqueries, and aggregation, required.
• 1 years of data analytics experience using data visualization software such as Tableau Proven ability to create concise reports based upon specifications requested by management Excellent problem-solving skills, required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite includingadvanced proficiency in Excel
• Attention to detail, especially with regard to data visualization Strong oral, written andpresentation communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Public Health, Computer or Systems Engineering or related field that further developed your expertise in the business of health and healthcare.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,300 - $79,023 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
