Data Analyst

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Data Analyst in Arlington, TX for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position develops, transforms, models, and analyzes data in an engineering setting to improve decision making, productivity, and forecasting. The role also supports data processing, dashboarding, project tracking, supplier task completion, and the development of AI bots to identify trends and improve team efficiency.

Required Skills

• Production-level Python 3.10+ scripting, including ETL, linking logic, and data validation
• Experience with AWS core services, including S3, Lambda, and boto3
• Data cleaning and data integration, including transforming unstructured documents into clean data
• Data modeling for entity linking, including designing keys and joins across datasets
• SQL
• Document processing
• Dashboarding with Tableau
• Databricks
• API development, such as FastAPI
• Basic frontend-backend integration
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build consensus, shape and influence opinions, and articulate future-state concepts

Preferred Skills

• Frontend development experience, such as React
• API integration
• Creating stored procedures
• Tableau Prep or Alteryx
• Experience with SSO and authentication integration
• Knowledge of supply chain management systems and sourcing processes
• Experience developing AI bots to identify trends and improve team efficiency

What You’ll Do

• Develop, inspect, mine, transform, and model data
• Conduct statistical analysis to support predictive forecasting and classification
• Manage end-to-end data processing using customized report-building functions
• Maintain analytical systems and verify data accuracy
• Work with technical developers and data scientists to define business outcomes and capabilities
• Build dashboards and reports
• Assist with leadership status reports and project progress monitoring
• Support problem solving with project managers, suppliers, and internal customers
• Manage and track supplier task completion
• Provide system access based on training completion
• Support efforts to ensure security levels are completed and accurate
• Develop AI bots to help identify and find trends quickly in a fast-paced environment

• Monday through Wednesday onsite
• Thursday from home
• Flexible schedule
