• Ensure data security and ethical handling of sensitive information.
• Develop data quality assessments and data management protocols.
• Assist in developing data collection tools such as surveys or questionnaires.
• Conduct descriptive, bivariate, and multivariate statistical analyses using software such as Stata, R, SAS or Python.

• Support management and analysis of qualitative data from interviews, focus groups, and open-ended survey responses.
• Assist in developing interview guides, codebooks, and qualitative data summaries.
• Code and analyze qualitative data using software such as using NVivo, Dedoose, or ATLAS.ti, applying thematic or framework analysis approaches.
• Contribute to data triangulation and integration of qualitative and quantitative findings.
• Create visualizations (charts, maps, dashboards) to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop and manage study dashboards using data management and visualization software such as Power BI.
• Contribute to drafting results sections for reports, manuscripts, presentations and other relevant deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align data analysis with research objectives and program questions.
• Participate in team meetings, data interpretation sessions, and dissemination activities.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for the role.

HJF is seeking a Data Analyst II - Social and Behavioral Sciences Program to provide analytic support to epidemiologists, biostatisticians and scientists and ensure data quality and data integrity.

This position will be in support of social and behavioral sciences (SBS) program of the Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics Department at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. This program studies social and behavioral factors influencing health. This includes research to promote health service delivery and quality of care provided by military physicians, In particular, the SBS program is conducting two studies "Efficient Measures to Effective Burnout Solutions" and "Integrating Simulation - based, Low Dose, High Frequency Life Support training into the DHA."

Due to clearance requirements, this position is only able to consider U.S. Citizens.

The research includes provider-centered design thinking and application of relevant behavior change theories. The Burnout study involves addressing physician burnout among military health providers as well as their recovery and resilience to optimize provider and patient outcomes The S-LDHF study involves examining the skill retention, satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness of new models of life support training compared to the current model. These studies will involve data collection, analysis and reporting of quantitative and qualitative data to inform decision making across multiple levels.
