Continuous Improvement Data Analyst
Houston, TX | Onsite | 12+ Month Contract
iSphere is looking for a Continuous Improvement Data Analyst who gets just as much satisfaction from fixing a process as they do from building a dashboard. If you've ever looked at a manual task and thought, "There's got to be a better way," keep reading.
This role is all about turning data into action. You'll partner with business teams to solve problems, improve processes, automate repetitive work, and build reporting that actually helps people make decisions instead of creating one more report nobody opens.
You'll spend part of your day writing SQL, building Power BI dashboards, and creating Power Platform solutions. The other part? Working with business users to understand what they're trying to accomplish before jumping straight into the technology.
What they're really looking for:
• 5–7 years of experience in data analysis, process improvement, automation, or KPI reporting
• Strong SQL and data querying experience
• Advanced Power BI skills
• Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and relational databases
• Experience improving data quality and implementing data validation processes
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business users
Bonus points if you have experience with:
• Custom Power Apps development
• Enterprise data lakes or modern data platforms
• Endur or other ETRM systems
• Commercial operations or energy trading environments
You'll be working with business leaders to identify opportunities, designing data solutions that make sense, improving existing processes, and building reports people actually use. You'll also help automate manual work, improve data reliability, and document solutions so the next person doesn't have to become an archaeologist just to understand how something works.
The right person for this role enjoys asking "why" almost as much as they enjoy answering "how." They're naturally curious, comfortable digging through data, and know that the best dashboard in the world won't help if the data behind it can't be trusted.
If you like solving problems, streamlining processes, and making work a little easier for everyone around you, this is a role worth checking out.
