Description: Job Opening: Data Analyst – GTS Control Tower Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid role / (4 days onsite/week) Duration: 06+ Months (Possible Extension) Pay Rate: $52/Hour | 40 Hours/week Client: Banking Client About the Department: Team: Global Technology Services (GTS) – Control Tower Job Overview ** is seeking an experienced Data Analyst Contractor to support the Global Technology Services (GTS) Control Tower team. This role focuses on collecting, transforming, modeling, and analyzing data to deliver actionable insights through highquality dashboards and reports. The analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders across GTS, business intelligence, data engineering, business analysis, process engineering, governance, and analytics teams to solve complex, enterprisescale technical challenges. Core Responsibilities Report & Dashboard Development Design, develop, and maintain interactive, highquality Power BI dashboards and reports Clearly communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and business insights to technical and nontechnical stakeholders Ensure dashboards are userfriendly, accessible, and aligned with bestpractice data visualization standards Data Modeling & Transformation Build and optimize semantic data models, including relationships, calculated columns, and measures using DAX Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using Power Query (M) Apply star schema and dimensional modeling concepts to support scalable reporting Performance Optimization Optimize Power BI data models and DAX calculations for performance, scalability, and reliability Identify and resolve bottlenecks in data processing and report rendering Apply best practices for largescale enterprise BI solutions Documentation & Standards Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for: Data models and transformation logic Report definitions and KPI calculations Operational and governance procedures Ensure transparency, consistency, and longterm maintainability of BI assets Required Qualifications Proven advanced experience with Microsoft Power BI Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and ETL processes Handson experience with SQL, Python, and PySpark Demonstrated focus on DAX performance optimization Ability to work effectively in complex, crossfunctional technical environments Online portfolio showcasing analytics and BI work using nonconfidential data Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Certifications (one or more preferred): Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL300) Analytics Engineer Associate (DP600) Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP700) Experience with Microsoft Fabric Strong background in relational and nonrelational databases Experience building data pipelines, medallion architecture, and enterprise BI platforms Strong focus on user experience (UX), interaction design, accessibility, and modern data visualization best practices 5 to 10+ years of experience delivering largescale, complex technology transformation, analytics, automation, and business intelligence initiatives Work Environment Hybrid onsite model: 4 days per week onsite in Quincy, MA Fastpaced, enterprise technology environment Close collaboration with senior technical and business stakeholders
