Data Analyst Energy & Facilities Data
Location: New York, NY Hybrid (3 days/week: TuesdayThursday)
Job Type: Contract 3 months with possible extension
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM
Interview: 1st Round Virtual | 2nd Round In-Person
Excel Assessment: Required before the in-person interview
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Data Analyst to support energy and facilities data management for a corporate real estate environment. You will work closely with the facilities team to maintain accurate data, review invoices, perform quality checks, and follow up to confirm information.
This is a great opportunity for someone with
12 years of data analysis, data entry, reporting, or quality assurance experience who has strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter, review, and maintain energy and facilities data.
- Perform data quality checks and identify discrepancies.
- Review invoicing information and investigate concerns.
- Coordinate with Facilities Management to confirm and validate information.
- Maintain data accuracy across different global energy units.
- Work with data related to electricity, oil, water, and waste.
- Prepare and update reports using Excel and existing reporting tools.
- Research data and follow up with stakeholders to obtain missing information.
- Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting.
- Help ensure data sources are accurate, complete, and consistent.
Required Qualifications
- 12 years of experience in data analysis, data entry, reporting, quality assurance, or a related field.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Understanding of data accuracy and quality control.
- Ability to work with and understand different energy units.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work onsite in New York City 3 days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience with energy, utilities, sustainability, facilities, or real estate data.
- Experience working with electricity, oil, water, or waste data.
- Experience with data reporting, business intelligence, or quality assurance.
- MCSE or CNE certification.
- Experience working with global teams or international stakeholders.
- Strong curiosity and ability to investigate discrepancies and obtain missing information.
