About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Smart Building Data Analyst to support building data quality and system monitoring. You will review building system data, validate points and equipment information, identify data issues, and work with project teams and integrators to resolve discrepancies.

What You'll Do- Review and validate building system data, point lists, and project submissions.
- Check data for accurate naming, tagging, equipment, location, and values.
- Monitor live data for missing, stale, or unusual readings.
- Investigate data issues and coordinate with project teams and technical specialists.
- Document discrepancies and track issues through resolution.
- Create and track work orders when equipment or system issues are identified.
- Help colleagues locate and understand building system data.
- Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement of data standards.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma/GED or equivalent education and experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform structured data checks accurately.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including filters, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to compare information from multiple sources and identify inconsistencies.
- Comfortable learning new software platforms and technical systems.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with data analysis, data quality, QA, or auditing.
- Exposure to building automation or building management systems (BMS).
- Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, or air quality systems.
- Familiarity with building analytics or smart building platforms.
- Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, or similar building system protocols.
- Experience working with point lists, naming conventions, or tagging standards.
- Basic SQL or scripting experience.
- Trade school, technical certificate, or associate degree.
