Data Analyst- Mortgage

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join the Fixed Income, Securitized Products Group, supporting U.S. Sales & Trading, Secured Lending, and Capital Markets businesses.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a data-driven professional who enjoys working with residential mortgage data, cash-flowing assets, trading and financing transactions, and complex datasets. The ideal candidate will be skilled at transforming inconsistent and complex spreadsheets into accurate, reliable data that supports critical business decisions.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

• \n
• Manage data and reporting for Residential Whole Loan Trading Desk transactions, including loan purchases, exits, and ongoing trade positions.
• \n
• Analyze residential mortgage loan pools and related reports to support bids, purchases, and portfolio exits.
• \n
• Support the Secured Lending business by analyzing loan-level data for warehouse financing and other financing activities.
• \n
• Provide data analysis and reporting for Global Capital Markets, including securitizations and other structured finance opportunities.
• \n
• Normalize, cleanse, and validate large datasets by performing calculations, data scrubbing, quality-control checks, and reconciliations.
• \n
• Develop and maintain analytical reports and dashboards to support trading, financing, capital markets, and advisory activities.
• \n
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, vendors, rating agencies, accountants, and management to deliver accurate and timely information.
• \n
• Identify data inconsistencies and implement improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Skills

\n

• \n
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and financial modeling skills.
• \n
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large and complex datasets.
• \n
• Proficiency in SQL and the ability to build and execute queries.
• \n
• Experience building Power BI reports and dashboards.
• \n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• \n
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• \n
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• \n
• Proactive, results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• \n
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a global, fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with mortgage, residential whole loans, securitized products, or other cash-flowing assets.
• \n
• Knowledge of mortgage terminology and loan-level data.
• \n
• Experience with CAS software.
• \n
• Exposure to fixed income, structured finance, capital markets, trading, or secured lending.
