Systems Analyst

Duration: 1 Year (with potential for extension based on performance and business needs)
The Fountain Group is hiring for a prominent pharmaceutical client seeking a Systems Analyst to support Clinical Supply Systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong SQL, reporting, and database experience who enjoys optimizing systems, developing dashboards, and supporting business users in a regulated environment.
 
Hybrid Schedule (Non-Negotiable):
  • Remote: Monday & Friday
  • Onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (North Chicago, IL)
 
What You'll Do
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries and reporting solutions using Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Support database migration efforts while ensuring data integrity.
  • Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, KPI metrics, and ad hoc reporting solutions.
  • Maintain master data and support day-to-day Clinical Supply Management (CSM) system activities.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, resolve interface problems, and provide end-user support and training.
  • Create and maintain training materials, SOPs, work instructions, and system documentation.
  • Support system lifecycle activities, UAT, change management, upgrades, and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to improve processes through automation and optimization.
  • Leverage AI tools and prompt engineering to identify issues, improve reporting, and assist with report and code development.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience writing and maintaining code in both Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics.
  • Strong documentation, master data management, and end-user training/support experience.
  • Experience using AI tools, including prompt engineering, to improve reporting and assist with code development.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Jaspersoft experience strongly preferred (other enterprise reporting tools such as Power BI or Business Objects will also be considered).
  • Clinical supply chain or Clinical Supply Systems experience.
  • Pharmaceutical, clinical development, or GMP/GCP experience.
  • Experience with UAT, data setup, SOP creation, and process documentation.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, SmartSupplies, or similar.
