Aon is looking for a Data & Analytics Reporting Analyst

 

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions. This role will be based in the Alpharetta, GA office 3 days a week, 2 remote.

 

Your impact as a Data & Analytics Reporting Analyst

 

A data‑driven, analytically strong professional will join our Data and Analytics Reporting team. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with data, strong presentation skills, and a solid foundation in both computer science and finance. This role will focus on building and maintaining reporting and analytics solutions to support business decision‑making.

 

What the day will look like:

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources.
  • Translate complex data and analyses into clear, actionable insights and executive‑ready presentations/decks.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver analytics solutions that address their needs.
  • Validate data accuracy, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot reporting issues.
  • Support ad‑hoc analysis and reporting requests from business and leadership.
  • Document data definitions, reporting logic, and processes.

 

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

 

  • 3–4 years of experience in a data/analytics, business intelligence, or reporting role.
  • Strong SQL skills (querying, joins, aggregations, performance awareness).
  • Hands‑on experience with reporting/BI tools (Power BI strongly preferred).
  • Solid proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) for analysis and presentations.
  • Financial services or finance‑related domain experience (e.g., portfolios, revenue, P&L, KPIs, financial metrics).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with high attention to detail and data quality.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to tell a clear story with data for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience working in a hybrid environment and collaborating across business and technology teams.
  • Familiarity with other analytics or visualization tools is a plus.

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data/Analytics, Finance, or a related field

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $65,000 to $70,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

  

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary in addition to base salary.  The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
