Data Analytics Specialists10 North Senate Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46204 (Hybrid)6+ MonthsJob Description:Responsible for the development and implementation of DWD’s performance dashboards to ensure a consistent design and/or approach for analytics across the workforce programs.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Design, develop and operationalize dashboards and reports for Senior and Executive Management, both internal and external stakeholders.Design and implement reporting and visualization for unstructured and structured data setsWrite and optimize SQL queriesCreate template for Dashboards/Reports to be used by other BI Analyst and End UsersCreating prototype BI models, specifications, diagrams, and charts for BI front end applications including dashboards and reportingEnsure technical designs accurately represent the requirements and functional designsEffectively communicates with team members and business stakeholdersQualifications/Required Skills:Experience interacting/collaborating with a multi-functional product teamMentoring of the business users on Tableau processes and procedures and best practicesConsulting, analysis, design, and development services in support of the Analytics environmentUnderstanding of visual design principlesIntermediate to Advanced Tableau DevelopmentTransforming business needs into actionable visualizations in Tableau for use by internal and external stakeholdersDifficulty of Work:Ideal candidates will be motivated, flexible, and eager to work with others in this facilitative driven role.The Data Analytics Specialist will be expected to represent the agency’s vision when carrying out this role.Personal Work Relationships:The Data Analytics Specialist will work closely with the agency’s performance reporting specialists, and other members of the team.There will be discussion and interaction among other members of the Department of Workforce Development.Working Conditions:The Data Analytics Specialist will work in a hybrid environment.
