Description: Our client is currently seeking a Data and Reporting Analyst

    About the Role

    The Data Reporting Analyst leads analytics, reporting, and decision-support initiatives for a designated department. This role partners with business and technical stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely insights that support operational, strategic, and compliance needs. The analyst owns end-to-end reporting workflows, improves data quality and processes, and serves as a subject matter expert for analytics and reporting solutions.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead departmental analytics, decision support, and research activities, ensuring data-driven insights inform business decisions.
    • Design, develop, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as ad hoc analyses, to meet operational and regulatory reporting requirements.
    • Extract, prepare, validate, analyze, and present data from enterprise data warehouses and distributed databases.
    • Interpret data trends and results; assess data accuracy and collection processes; and recommend and implement improvements to reporting quality and efficiency.
    • Use SQL and related query tools to retrieve, analyze, and structure data for reporting and analysis.
    • Partner with IT and other stakeholders to coordinate application enhancements and data fixes that improve data integrity and usability.
    • Serve as a lead contributor in prioritizing, planning, and coordinating reporting and analytics projects.
    • Provide oversight and analysis for audit-related findings, including tracking, reporting, and documentation.
    • Mentor and provide guidance to peers and team members, sharing best practices in analytics, reporting, and data management.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, research, information systems, health services, or a related analytical field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • 7+ years of experience performing statistical analysis and developing analytical or reporting solutions.
      • Additional relevant experience (3–4 years) may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
    • Experience using SQL and relational databases to query and analyze large datasets.
    • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex data clearly to diverse audiences.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, estimate work effort accurately, and deliver results within committed timelines.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in a related analytical or quantitative field.
    • Experience with managed care, healthcare analytics, or regulated environments.
    • Advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel and relational databases (e.g., MS SQL, MS Access).
    • Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as SAS, Cognos, Crystal Reports, Actuate, or similar platforms.
    • Experience with database management, data quality initiatives, and process improvement.
    • Demonstrated leadership or project coordination experience within analytics or reporting teams.
