Overview

An experienced Data Architect is needed to support a major NAVSEA program in Portsmouth, Virginia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a data professional who enjoys designing enterprise data solutions, integrating complex systems, and supporting mission-critical Department of Defense programs. The Data Architect will play a key role in developing enterprise data architecture, analytics, reporting, and data integration capabilities for a large-scale federal initiative.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise databases for operational and analytical workloads
• Develop data models, integration strategies, and data warehousing solutions
• Create enterprise data architectures supporting complex business operations
• Evaluate new data sources for quality and integration compatibility
• Ensure data integrity, governance, and security across multiple systems
• Support dashboards, metrics, reporting, and data visualization initiatives
• Develop predictive analytics and decision-support capabilities
• Partner with Business Analysts and Software Engineers to implement enterprise data solutions
• Develop custom data architectures, queries, and analytics products
• Maintain system interface diagrams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
• Experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data management
• Strong SQL, relational database, and data modeling experience
• Experience with enterprise data integration and data warehousing
• Experience supporting DoD or Navy programs is preferred
• Experience with business intelligence tools and dashboard development is a plus
