We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Architect to design, optimize, and oversee our organization's data architecture. You will be responsible for developing data models, managing metadata, defining data standards, and ensuring the integration, security, and scalability of data systems across the enterprise.
Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.
Analyze structural requirements for new software and applications.
Develop database solutions by designing proposed system flowcharts, data diagrams, and entity-relationship models.
Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions.
Optimize new and current database systems.
Define and enforce data management policies and standards.
Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure data availability and quality.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies, including GDPR, HIPAA, or other relevant regulations.
Document data architecture and environment in order to maintain a current and accurate view of the larger data ecosystem.
Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or similar role.
In-depth understanding of database structure principles (e.g., relational, NoSQL, data lakes).
Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Hands-on experience with SQL, data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, dbt), and big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Strong knowledge of data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
Familiarity with data governance, data quality management, and data privacy standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer, or CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional).
Experience with machine learning pipelines or real-time data streaming (Kafka, Flink) is a plus.
