Data Architect - Snowflake Data Model Lead

The ideal candidate brings strong experience with Snowflake, modern data architectures, real-time and streaming data concepts, data modeling, and performance optimization. Success in this role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to influence stakeholders while driving innovative data solutions across the organization.

• SnowPro Certification required
• A foundation in systems development
• Data modeling using Kimball Methodology
• Data design
• Data Architectures
• Data Pipelines
• Experience in performance tuning complex queries
• Real Time Data Processing, streaming, networking, and security
• Established and emerging data technologies such as NoSQL, distributed databases
• Communication and political savvy
• Problem solving / analytical thinking and skills
• Teamwork and collaboration

• Experience with Devops and CI/CD technologies is a plus (such as Git, Jenkins, Docker)
• Experience with streaming data processing technologies is a plus (such as Spark or Kafka)
• Experience in financial industry or banking is a plus

1. Work with business owners and IT stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements to design data warehouses and data marts
2. Develop conceptual and physical data models as well as flow diagrams illustrate current and future state data architecture
3. Establish good data modelling principles and effective data quality standards
4. Act as subject matter expert on all aspects of the data architecture, including models, data staging and ETL frameworks
5. Evangelize modern ideas and technologies for data design and data architectures across the organization
