Construction Superintendent

Mission-Critical Hyperscale Data Center | New Build

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site execution for a new-build, mission-critical hyperscale data center. This role is responsible for overseeing field operations from early construction planning through project completion, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and coordination across multiple trades.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience on large-scale commercial or industrial projects and understands the pace, complexity, and precision required in data center construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Field Strategy

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all construction activities from feasibility through turnover
  • Determine construction methods, manpower requirements, materials, equipment, and sequencing
  • Ensure field work complies with project drawings, specifications, codes, and master schedules
  • Lead execution across civil, structural, electrical, and other construction disciplines typical of hyperscale data center builds

Team Leadership & Field Supervision

  • Schedule, coordinate, and supervise craft labor and subcontractors, including electricians, carpenters, boilermakers, and other skilled trades
  • Coordinate work across multiple crafts, departments, and contractors to maintain productivity and schedule alignment
  • Resolve field issues quickly and effectively to minimize impacts to safety, quality, or schedule
  • Maintain productive communication with union representatives as applicable

Resource & Safety Management

  • Enforce all project safety programs and company safety policies
  • Identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and document compliance
  • Ensure materials, equipment, inspections, and manpower are aligned with construction schedules and milestones
  • Support commissioning-driven sequencing common to mission-critical data center projects

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as a key on-site liaison between field personnel, project management, leadership, and external stakeholders
  • Communicate with executives, clients, inspectors, and vendors to ensure alignment and address concerns
  • Participate in progress meetings and provide accurate field updates

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track daily and weekly production against project schedules
  • Analyze performance metrics and adjust field plans as project conditions change
  • Support reporting through look-ahead schedules, daily logs, and milestone tracking

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure all work meets required quality standards, regulatory requirements, and contract documents
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality control activities
  • Drive completion of punch list items and support turnover and closeout activities

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve field coordination, productivity, and construction workflows
  • Apply best practices and lessons learned to improve overall project delivery

Required Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 8+ years of supervisory experience on commercial, industrial, or technology-driven construction projects
  • Proven experience leading $50M+ construction projects
  • Strong preference for experience in:
    • Hyperscale or mission-critical data centers
    • Large industrial or commercial facilities
    • Electrical-intensive or infrastructure-heavy projects

Core Skills

  • Strong construction supervision and field leadership abilities
  • Deep understanding of construction means and methods across multiple trades
  • Solid working knowledge of construction scheduling, sequencing, and cost control
  • Proven ability to supervise, motivate, and mentor cross-functional teams
  • Strong safety mindset with a track record of maintaining high safety and quality standards

Additional Requirements

  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Strong communication skills across field teams, leadership, and external stakeholders

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $90.00/hr.
