Job Overview:
Pay Range: $55.00hr - $57.00hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Experienced managing APC DCE/ITA and Vertiv Sitescan environments and servers.
- Understanding of HVAC, UPS, ATS and Generators functions and alarming.
- Background in incident ticketing and change management applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills utilizing Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Continuously investigating new technologies to maintain industry leading edge.
- Ability to inventory items in the data center and document them.
- Pleasant professional demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to follow directions well using pillars of respect for others and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment supporting immediate and cross-functional teams.
- Able to utilize data center guidelines and best practices and identify deficiencies.
- Approach everything with an IT first mindset.
- 3+ years of experience with admin capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Support Data Center Managers to ensure all facility duties are run to meet data center standards.
- Manage IT floor space, cabinet power, and U-space management.
- Build, manage, and maintain MEP monitoring tools utilizing Vertiv Sitescan and/or APC Data Center Expert/IT Advisor for performance, availability, reliability and security of IT resources.
- Support data center staff to provide continuous business operations.
- Ensure business requirements are met by providing operational support of multiple complex IT production platforms to support the 99.99% data center uptime objective.
- Perform 40 hours a week with some infrequent overtime.
- Provide support during some evenings or weekends as required.
- Travel as required to support data center critical facilities activities.
Nice to Have:
- Overseeing vendor implementation of electrical, environmental and mechanical equipment improvements.
- Ensure that maintenance activities are performed by vendors within manufacturer recommended schedules or within industry standard time intervals.
- Researching, recommending, planning, and overseeing vendor implementation of electrical, environmental, and mechanical equipment improvements.
- Ensure Request for Change procedures for data center facilities service, repairs and improvements are in place before any work is performed.
- Enforcing physical access, safety and security policies for restricted data center areas.
- Proven working knowledge of Servers, Storage and Networking in a data center environment (e.g. Client, HP, VMWare, Cisco Switches).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
