About this role :


As a CBRE Union Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of building systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will guide andsupport your team, manage projects, and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.


ThisjobispartoftheEngineeringandTechnicalServicesjobfunction.Theyprovide support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.


What you'll do:


Overseeandinspecttheworkperformedbyunion electricians onstaff.Ensurethatworkisperformed safely,complete,equipment is fully functional, and client space is in prime working condition.


Plan and oversee daily activities required to run the data center: assign work orders, schedule vendor technicians, order parts and materials, review work plans, conduct dry-runs.


Write, review, and update Critical Methods of Procedure (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs)


Deliver and oversee critical training for the electricians on the team.


Implement and oversee health and safety program established at the site based on client and CBRE policies


Reviewmonthlyservicerequestsummariestoidentifyandaddressrecurrentoperationalproblems.


Formulateandimplementapreventivemaintenanceprogramtoensurethatbuildingmachineryand systems meet or exceed their rated life.


Inspect building systems including SWGR, MV Transformers, UPS, Generators, Battery Systems, lighting systems, fire systems, panelboards, control systems, etc. to ensure the operation ofequipmentiswithindesigncapacitiesandmaintains high uptime as prescribedbytheclient.


Reviewassignedworkorders.Estimate time andmaterialsneededtocompleterepairs.Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies and tools and order necessary materials.


Assistteamwithcomplexrepairs,emergency,andpreventivemaintenance.


Manage scheduling of the team, including coverage for vacation, sick time, shift coverage, etc.


Applyadvancedknowledgetoseekanddevelopnew,bettermethodsforaccomplishingbothindividual and department objectives.


Showcaseexpertiseinownjobdisciplineandin-depthknowledgeofotherjobdisciplineswithinthe organization function.


Coachotherstodevelopin-depthknowledgeandexpertiseinmostorallareaswithinthefunction.


LeadbyexampleandmodelbehaviorsthatareconsistentwithCBRERISEvalues.Anticipatepotentialobjectionsandpersuadeothers,oftenatseniorlevelsandofdivergentinterest,toadoptadifferent point of view.

What you'll Need:


Journeyman’s license and membership in good standing in IBEW Local 332.


Experience working in data centers or other critical environments.


Understanding of change control processes used in data centers.


HighSchoolDiploma,GED,ortradeschooldiplomawith4-5yearsofjob-relatedexperience.Inlieuofa diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.


Meetthephysicalrequirementsofthisroleincludingstooping,standing,walking,climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.


Willingnesstotakeanewperspectiveonexistingsolutions. In-depthknowledgeofMicrosoftOfficeproducts.ExamplesincludeWord,Excel,Outlook,etc. Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.


Sophisticatedmathskills.Abilitytocalculatemildlycomplexfiguressuchaspercentages,fractions,andother financial-related calculations.


Abilitytoimpactarangeofcustomer,operation,project,orserviceactivitieswithinownteamand/or related teams.


Capabilitytoworkwithinbroadguidelinesandpolicies.


Proficiencyincoachingothersandsharingin-depthknowledgeofownjobdisciplineandbroad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

Experience commissioning preferred.


The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Data Center Electrical Union Foreperson position is $217,734 annually (or $104.68 per hour). Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale. This role will provide the following union-provided benefits: Retirement, Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
