Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in energy project development, utility procurement, or finance/consulting roles.
• 6 years of experience in data center colocation and leasing.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with power transmission and distribution, telecommunications infrastructure, data center technology, electrical and cooling systems, or related technical areas.
• Experience managing utility agreements, addressing energy-related issues, applying financial modeling and implementing clean energy initiatives.
• Experience in indirect taxes, economic development policy, infrastructure development, agreement drafting, and presentation development, along with data center real estate markets.

As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Googles infrastructure growth. Youll work with specific project teams on negotiating agreements, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting agreement recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. Responsibilities

• Lead transactions negotiations and structuring for data center colocation and leasing contracts, as well as energy supply, renewable energy power purchase agreements, partnerships/Joint Ventures (JVs), and other data center-related energy contracts.
• Contribute to the growth of Googles data center portfolio through energy due diligence during site selection and data center project development.
• Help set strategy for Googles energy procurement program, including the procurement of carbon-free energy in support of Googles clean energy goals.
• Develop and lead agreement approvals, investment memos, and other transaction related materials with senior executives and partner teams, working with team members and cross-company partner teams (Engineering, Finance, Legal, Accounting, etc).
• Manage strategic relationships with key suppliers including utilities, IPPs, project developers, etc.
