QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs over an 8 hour period and work in a data‐center physical environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills. 
  • Previous data center experience. 
  • Previous experience working in technology at a major financial institution.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot fiber and copper connectivity, including MPO and LC cabling.
  • Perform rack and stack of servers and network equipment.  
  • Execute copper and fiber patching following strict labeling and routing standards.
  • Replace hardware components such as DIMMs, hard drives, NICs, and other field‐replaceable units. 
  • Support shipping and receiving, including moving equipment, unboxing, and proper disposal of packaging.  
  • Maintain clean, organized racks and cabling for optimal airflow and serviceability.
  • Follow established procedures (SOPs/MOPs) and document all work in ticketing systems.
    Collaborate with remote engineering teams for escalations and task coordination.

About the Role:

We are seeking a hands‐on Data Center Engineer / Technician to support daily operations within a high‐performance data center environment. This role involves a mix of hardware support, cabling, troubleshooting, and general data‐center maintenance. Candidates must be reliable, detail‐oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‐paced technical environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience working in a high‐density GPU data center.
  • Familiarity with enterprise server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro, etc.).
  • Understanding of fiber types, polarity, and best practices for handling MPO/MTP assemblies.  
  • Experience in environments requiring precision, uptime awareness, and strict operational discipline.
