    Data Center Engineer

    Overview

    seeking a hands-on Data Center Engineer to support one of our clients in Hollywood, CA. This role will focus on operational support, hardware lifecycle tasks, and infrastructure maintenance within a fast-paced data center environment. The ideal candidate has experience working with Dell, HPE, and Arista equipment and is comfortable performing physical, network, and systems-level tasks.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide onsite support for servers, storage, and network hardware including Dell, HPE, and Arista platforms.

    Handle racking, stacking, cabling, hardware installations, component replacements, and decommissioning.

    Perform system diagnostics, physical inspections, and coordinate hardware troubleshooting with vendors as needed.

    Execute network patching, cable testing, labeling, and documentation following data center best practices.

    Support break/fix activities, firmware updates, and equipment upgrades.

    Assist with inventory tracking, asset management, and logistics for incoming and outgoing hardware.

    Maintain accurate records in ticketing systems and communicate status updates clearly to engineering teams.

    Participate in change windows, including occasional after-hours maintenance events.

    Required Qualifications

    3–5+ years of experience in a data center or infrastructure support role.

    Strong hands-on experience with Dell, HPE, and Arista hardware.

    Familiarity with cable management, DCIM tools, and physical infrastructure best practices.

    Ability to follow structured procedures and execute repeatable tasks accurately.

    Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, link aggregation, optics, transceivers).

    Ability to lift and install equipment (up to ~50 lbs) and work in a physical data center environment.

    Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with remote engineering teams.
