Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Center Network Engineer with strong expertise in Cisco Enterprise networking and hands-on experience working in a data center environment. The ideal candidate will support a federal client by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise and data center network infrastructure using modern Cisco technologies in a secure, mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, operate, and troubleshoot Cisco enterprise and data center network environments
  • Support core networking technologies including routing, switching, and network security
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of data center networking components
  • Work with Cisco Nexus platforms and modern data center architectures
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and change management activities
  • Ensure compliance with federal security, operational, and documentation standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure and security teams
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and operational runbooks


Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum CCNP ENCOR (Operating Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies) certification or equivalent experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise routing and switching (IOS / IOS-XE)
  • Solid understanding of OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, and STP
  • Hands-on experience working in a data center environment
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus switches
  • Experience supporting enterprise production networks
  • Ability to work onsite in a secure data center three days per week.
  • Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Cisco Data Center technologies such as Cisco ACI
  • Familiarity with modern data center architectures (e.g., spine-leaf)
  • Experience supporting federal or other regulated environments
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools
  • Additional Cisco certifications (CCNP Data Center, CCIE track)​
