Were seeking a Procurement Category Manager to support Americas data center construction. You will create and implement sourcing strategies for General Contractor services, collaborating with internal partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce risks, and lower costs. You will develop metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery, using competitive bidding, negotiation, and data analysis to drive results.

The ideal candidate thinks long-term, drives multiple initiatives simultaneously, and influences customers and suppliers at all levels. You will work collaboratively with significant autonomy in a fast-paced environment. You embrace ambiguity, act with urgency to meet customer timelines, and model Amazons Leadership Principles with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Key Job Responsibilities

Sourcing Strategy & Execution Develop and implement sourcing strategies for General Contractor services across Americas data center construction projects. Conduct competitive bidding processes, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to secure optimal terms.

Supplier Performance Management Create metrics and mechanisms to measure supplier performance against delivery, quality, and cost commitments. Hold suppliers accountable through regular business reviews and corrective action plans when needed.

Cost & Risk Management Analyze market trends, pricing data, and total cost of ownership to identify savings opportunities. Assess and mitigate supply chain risks that could impact construction timelines or costs.

Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with Construction Managers, Infrastructure Planning & Sourcing (IPS) teams, and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and align procurement strategies with business objectives. Communicate procurement status, risks, and opportunities to leadership.

Process Improvement Identify and implement process improvements in procurement workflows. Drive adoption of tools and technologies that increase efficiency and visibility across the procurement lifecycle.

Compliance & Documentation Ensure procurement activities comply with Amazon policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records of Purchase Orders, contracts, and supplier agreements in accordance with financial controls.

You will prioritize your activities to support data center capacity availability and safety focusing on the actions that are most impactful. You will have the opportunity to work on projects locally and globally.
