We are seeking an established and dependable professional to serve as Security Operations Technician. Reporting to the Manager, Security Operations, this role provides onsite security operations and technical security support across critical data center environments within one or more assigned metros, with accountability for troubleshooting, repair, replacement, preventive maintenance, operational readiness, and disciplined escalation.

The Security Operations Technician II will help drive consistent site-level execution by supporting physical security systems and day-to-day operational needs across a complex, high-availability environment. This role performs troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance for security components such as readers, cameras, and door hardware while helping maintain system uptime, service continuity, and site readiness through standardized support and timely issue resolution.

Working closely with Security Operations leadership, site teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders, the Security Operations Technician II will support incident response, corrective action follow-through, and local operational delivery across assigned scope. The role plays a key part in maintaining contractual performance, customer trust, and measurable execution quality, while building experience that can support future growth into broader Global Security Operations or Global Physical Security Systems pathways over time.

Responsibilities:

Security Operations Execution:

+ Support day-to-day onsite security operations across assigned critical data center environments in alignment with established procedures, standards, and site requirements.

+ Perform assigned operational tasks with consistency, professionalism, and attention to detail to support safe, secure, and reliable site execution.

+ Follow defined workflows, operating procedures, and escalation paths to support standardized execution and operational readiness.

+ Support routine site activities and issue identification to help maintain security system availability and day-to-day continuity.

+ Communicate observed issues, operational risks, and support needs through appropriate channels in a timely manner.

+ Work closely with site teams and broader security partners to support disciplined execution, service continuity, and customer trust.

Security Systems Support & Maintenance:

+ Perform troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance for physical security components such as readers, cameras, door hardware, and related field devices.

+ Complete routine corrective actions, part replacement, and component swaps in accordance with established procedures and approved practices.

+ Support troubleshooting of device connectivity, low-voltage cabling, termination, and related field issues affecting system performance.

+ Apply working knowledge of Windows-based systems, networking fundamentals, and security system communication paths during troubleshooting and escalation.

+ Identify, document, and communicate equipment issues, damage, performance concerns, and follow-up needs that may affect system functionality or operational continuity.

+ Track materials used, replaced components, and support needs accurately to help maintain inventory visibility, critical spare awareness, and site readiness.

+ Identify and communicate low-stock items, missing parts, or material issues through appropriate channels to support timely replenishment and site continuity.

+ Escalate issues that exceed defined scope, complexity, or technical capability through appropriate channels.

Incident Response, Escalation & Recovery:

+ Support onsite response to security system issues, operational disruptions, and security-related incidents in accordance with established procedures.

+ Assist with issue assessment, onsite verification, troubleshooting, and recovery actions to help restore normal operations.

+ Provide accurate updates, timely escalation, and clear documentation during incident response and issue resolution.

+ Escalate issues in a timely manner when conditions exceed defined thresholds, scope, or technical capability.

+ Support disciplined execution during outages, system failures, and other events requiring rapid onsite coordination.

+ Follow established escalation and communication expectations to help protect system uptime, contractual performance, and customer trust.

Coordination, Customer Support & Site Readiness:

+ Coordinate with site teams and appropriate support partners to complete assigned work and maintain operational continuity.

+ Support site readiness by helping ensure security components and related operational controls remain functional, available, and ready for use.

+ Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders during routine support activities, issue resolution, and escalations.

+ Support customer confidence through reliable execution, responsiveness, and adherence to established standards and service expectations.

+ Help identify and communicate recurring issues, support needs, or readiness concerns through appropriate channels.

Professional Development & Team Support:

+ Complete required training and apply learned procedures, tools, and standards in day-to-day work.

+ Demonstrate increasing independence in assigned work while seeking guidance when needed.

+ Respond constructively to coaching, feedback, and direction, and apply lessons learned to improve execution quality.

+ Demonstrate teamwork, accountability, and professionalism in support of site and team objectives.

+ Support a culture of standardized execution, disciplined escalation, and operational reliability.

+ Contribute to continuous learning and readiness through active participation in training, knowledge sharing, and day-to-day team support.

Qualifications:

+ 2–4 years of experience in security operations, physical security systems, field service, facilities support, low-voltage systems, or a related environment preferred.

+ Working knowledge of security operations and physical security systems support in a critical or service-oriented environment.

+ Ability to perform troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance for security components with less direct supervision.

+ Ability to identify issues, apply standard corrective actions, and escalate more complex problems appropriately.

+ Ability to support incident response, issue resolution, and operational recovery activities in alignment with defined procedures.

+ Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills in support of operational continuity and execution quality.

+ Ability to manage assigned work with increasing independence across one or more assigned metros.

+ Working knowledge of physical security systems, low-voltage cabling, device termination, and field device connectivity.

+ Familiarity with Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals, and basic database or system-level troubleshooting.

+ Working knowledge of common physical security system protocols, access control concepts, and device communication paths.

+ Experience performing basic troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance on field devices preferred.

+ Experience working with service tickets, maintenance logs, or work order systems preferred.

Education / Certifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

+ Technical training, trade school, military experience, or related coursework in security systems, electronics, low-voltage systems, facilities support, or a related field preferred.

+ Relevant certifications are a plus but not required.

Benefits:

+ Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans, life and disability insurance, access to mental health resources and employee assistance program

+ Competitive pay, performance bonus, 401(k) retirement plan with company match
