TalentLogistiX is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician (L2) and Data Center Technicians (L3) to lead installation teams performing fiber optic and network infrastructure work in mission-critical data center environments. This role is responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring installation work meets technical, quality, and safety standards, and mentoring technicians at various skill levels.

The Data Center Technician (L2) is responsible for executing installation services in accordance with contractual agreements, adhering to technical, quality, and safety standards. This role operates independently, performing complex installations in live, mission-critical data center environments with minimal supervision. The Data Center Technician (L2) also contributes to quality assurance and quality control processes and provides guidance and mentorship to entry-level technicians.

Work may require overtime, weekends, holidays, off-hours, and travel as business needs dictate.

Location:New Albany, OH

Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 / Hour - Depending on Experience

Shift: 8: 00 pm - 8: 00 am (OT available)

Per Diem Available for Travel: $45 / Per Working Day & $75 / Per Non-Working Day

Data Center Technician (L2/ L3) Responsibilities:
  • Perform installation services according to contractual requirements and technical standards.
  • Independently execute all installation tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and follow work plans, procedures, and scope with guidance from lead technicians as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across fiber optic and twisted pair systems, including signal loss, low signal, and interface errors.
  • Support quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes for assigned work.
  • Operate effectively in live, mission-critical environments.
  • Mentor and train L1 Field Trainee Technicians.

Data Center Technician (L2 / L3) Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of documented industry experience - REQUIRED
  • Fiber optic testing certifications on OTDR and OLTS.
  • Required fiber splicing certification.
  • Experience working in live, operational, mission-critical data center environments.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’ s license with a clean driving record.
  • Possession of all relevant certifications required for the role
