They will perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment in the Parsippany facility. We are looking for an early career specialist who is looking to gain excellent experience in the Data Center Industry with an opportunity to grow with the company as we continue to expand.Shift availableWednesday- Saturday 5 pm- 3 am Training will be 8 am- 5 pm for the first 90 daysWhat you do dailyInspect repair modify and install HVAC equipment including refrigeration and air conditioning compressors receivers condensers chillers water cooling towers forced air converter units pumps automatic and hand valves expansion valves and capillary tubesConduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units isolated heating and ventilating units electrically operated air-conditioning equipment and make necessary adjustments or repairsRepair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls including thermostats automatic switches fan controls log switches damper motors louvers relays filters controls belts compressors heat exchangers high limit controls pressure controls and safety valves.Operate a variety of hand and power tools welder torch vacuum pump test equipment utilized in the trade and a motor vehicle maintain equipment in effective and safe working condition maintain parts and tool inventoryMaintain routine records and prepare reportsAssist co-workers with other tasks as neededResponsible for assisting with the cleanliness of the entire facilityWhat makes you a good fit Qualifications5 years of experience in HVAC related work andor educational equivalentAbility to perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection repair installation and alteration of district heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment and facilitiesExperience calibrating systemsKnowledge of preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment.Ability to write Method of Procedures MOPs for Preventative Maintenance installation and repair activitiesCapability to diagnose defects and install repair and maintain heating ventilating refrigeration and air-conditioning unitsAdept at following oral and written instructionsAbility to follow specified policies and procedures.Ability to operate specialized machinery equipment and tools utilized in the repair installation and maintenance of heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration systemsEffective communicator both orally and in writingCollaborative team playerComfortable working independently and with little direction - resourcefulComfortable working in a fast-paced 247 environment with flexibility to work after-hours and weekends when needed and available for rotating on-call supportDemonstrated experience meeting schedules and time linesMust be able to routinely lift objects weighing up to 50 poundsAutonomous with team spiritUniversal Environmental Protection Agency Certification25 - 32 an hourBenefitsWe offer a competitive benefit package for full-time employees that includesMedical dental and vision insuranceFlexible spending account optionsNon-accrued PTOCompany paid holidays401k Retirement PlanShort- and Long-Term DisabilityEmployee Discount MarketplaceEmployee Recognition PlatformNOTE This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
