**Data Center Technician I** **6-24-month contract, potential for extension or conversion** . **100% onsite in** Boardman, OR **Pay Rate:** $27/hour **Shift:** Schedule flexibility required, including potential night shifts + Shift options: + Sunday-Wednesday, **(A/D)** 6:00 AM-4:30 PM or **(A/E)** 7:30 AM-6:00 PM - + Wednesday-Saturday, **(B/D)** 6:00 AM-4:30 PM or **(B/E)** 7:30 AM-6:00 PM + First two weeks (training): Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM We are seeking a **Data Center Technician** to support a high-profile global cloud and eCommerce organization. In this role, you will troubleshoot, test, and repair data center hardware while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting daily operational workflows. This is a hands-on, fast-paced environment requiring strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to follow well-defined SOPs. **Key Responsibilities** + Troubleshot hardware, test components, and perform repairs using testing rigs and diagnostic tools + Record test results in a Warehouse Management System (WMS) + Receive, track, and maintain inventory; check out parts as needed + Load/unload shipments and transport parts between locations + Diagnose hardware and basic network issues; perform physical repairs + Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures + Collaborate with technical staff and cross-functional teams + Participating in team meetings focused on metrics and weekly goals + Follow established SOPs and contribute to a safe, compliant work environment **Basic Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent + 1+ years of basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP) + 1+ years of experience with server/computer hardware components + Ability to perform hardware replacements and repairs + Basic Linux/Unix command line familiarity + Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset + Receptive to feedback and able to adjust performance as needed **Preferred Certifications** + CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or similar **Technical Skills** + Hardware repair and replacement + Understanding of cooling systems and power distribution + Basic Linux/Unix CLI + Experience with ticketing/documentation systems Basic network troubleshooting If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
